Our Purpose

Charitable Mission Statement

To promote the provision of facilities for recreation and leisure-time occupation for the benefit of the inhabitants of Pontardawe and surrounding areas.

We particularly focus on supporting individuals who have need of such facilities by reason of:

Youth — Providing safe spaces and activities for young people
Age — Supporting elderly residents with companionship and services
Infirmity or Disability — Ensuring accessible facilities for all abilities
Financial Hardship — Offering programs regardless of economic status
Social and Economic Circumstances — Reaching those most in need

Our work serves the public at large in the interests of social welfare, with the overarching goal of improving the condition of life for all inhabitants of our community.

"The object of the CIO is to promote for the benefit of the inhabitants of Pontardawe and the surrounding areas the provision of facilities for recreation or other leisure time occupation of individuals who have need of such facilities by reason of their youth, age, infirmity or disablement, financial hardship or social and economic circumstances or for the public at large in the interests of social welfare and with the object of improving the condition of life of the said inhabitants."

"In furtherance of these objects but not otherwise, the trustees shall have power: to establish or secure the establishment of a community hub and to maintain or manage or co-operate with any statutory authority in the maintenance and management of such a facility for activities promoted by the charity in furtherance of the above object."
